User Experience Design

Designing experiences grounded in user truth.

Investing in user experience design is the secret sauce that separates functional, intuitive, and effective apps from ones that nobody wants to use.

User experience design firms solve problems. From the simplest mobile apps to the most complex and powerful enterprise web platforms, the user experience is what defines how users discover, learn, and utilize everything the digital product has to offer. Regardless of the scope or scale of the user problem a digital product is trying to solve, experience design is a way to ensure it delivers the intended value.

From the highest levels of how information and features are organized throughout the digital experience, to the placement and color contrast ratio of the smallest visual UI element, experience design considers how every element of the design can reinforce a great user interaction with software.

USER EXPERIENCE DESIGN TEAM

Wolfco's UXD team thinks beyond the pixels to create user flows, interactions, and information architectures that help users understand and use digital products more quickly and efficiently. By leveraging real user insights from research and taking an iterative approach to enhance an experience design, our team develops flows that map to our users' expectations for the experience and uncovers new UX ideas that would never have otherwise been explored.

Design. Test. Repeat.

Our user experience design practice works hand-in-hand with usability testers and user researchers to form a comprehensive research-based design process from start to finish. With frequent prototyping and testing through design thinking best practices, the product experience designs we deliver are validated to align perfectly with how users expect to use the technology, and help them complete the tasks they're hoping to do.

Accessible. For everyone.

Many design teams think of accessibility as an afterthought, taking a final pass at completed designs to ensure they meet the minimum requirements for compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. This is not enough and leads to experiences that feel disjointed or not optimized for the needs of accessibility users. Wolfco considers accessibility at every stage of the design process, and thinks about how navigation, flows, and information architecture for users who are interacting with the software via screen readers or switches.

Who said user experience needs a screen?

One of the easiest ways to distinguish user experience design from visual design is to think in terms of conversational interfaces, like Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. Building digital experiences for these products requires much of the same thinking as traditional user interfaces—the screens in a user flow are steps in a conversational pattern, and user intent is easier to discern through natural language processing. Our team of designers has experience considering these channels and developing Alexa Skills, Google Assistant Actions, and Siri Shortcuts that feel right at home on a smart home speaker.
